Happy Springtime my friends! I’m excited for this year for many reasons. One of which, is I launched a new website! It took a lot of patience and there were some tears–okay, a lot of tears, but it’s done now! I will now be doing my posting there, so head on over to katelynkelliephotography.com 🙂
I don’t know about you, but I’m in need of some snow! If it’s going to be this freezing, I need the trees glistening with sparkling snow! Winter can be a rough season, but let me tell you–Amber + Walter were just what the doctor ordered. We met downtown Detroit after a fresh dusting of snow landed. These two were smiling and laughing from start to finish. Very little direction was needed, because they were just so in love. It was truly infectious! Enjoy this preview from Kristin’s and my time with these lovebirds 🙂
Hasn’t this Christmas season been spectacular so far? The music, the decor, the yummy hot drinks. I know you all will think I’m crazy, but the only thing missing is SNOW!
I have the cutest newborn to show you!!! Annnnd to make it even better, his name is just as cute– Theo. One of my good friends, Jamie, and her husband Jordan, brought this bundle of joy into the world a few weeks back. To watch them with Theo is so adorable! This little nugget is so loved already! Get ready to do some oooo-ing and ahhh-ing!
Fall is now behind us. I had the greatest clients I could ever ask for this fall, and I have just as spectacular winter sessions coming your way! I decided to do Christmas mini sessions at a tree farm this year. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but these families far exceeded my expectations! Candy Cane Christmas Tree Farm was so accommodating, and the perfect place to have the sessions. I shot newlyweds, large families, a baby bump, new babies and toddlers. I am so excited to show you a few from all the sessions!
Are you ready?! I’m not sure you all are going to be able to handle the amount of swoon-worthy photos about to come across your screen! This styled shoot definitely makes my top 5 best things I’ve done with my photography. What made it even better…working with some of my best ladies. It just so happens that I have some pretty stinkin’ talented friends. Jen Vosler is an artist. She provided all the paper goods that are about to captivate you. I love her heart for making sure everything she creates is special and unique. Stephanie Nagle is the bees’ knees of pastry chefs. Not only are her creations so pretty–they taste divine! And then we have Melissa Halpert-blogger extraordinaire. She was gracious enough to take hours out of her Sunday to model the products. She is the sweetest, with an eye for style, and she made sure everything was perfect for our shoot. There are no words to describe how proud we are of this shoot. We hope you love it as much as we do 🙂
So it seems winter has decided to make an early appearance! As much as I love the snow-I think I needed a few more weeks of fall. Lucky for me, I still have a couple more yummy fall sessions to blog 🙂
This is Jennifer and AJ. They are one of my 2015 weddings, and I couldn’t be more excited! These two didn’t care that it was a cold, fall evening; they just stared deep in to each other’s eyes with that sweet love, and we also laughed the night away. I had such a great time exploring the state park with these love birds!
I don’t think I will ever get sick of a Michigan fall. It seems like each year the colors get more vibrant and more gorgeous to photograph. This family session was no different. We made our way out to Mayberry State Park. It was so beautiful, I could have stayed there for hours and hours, and to top it off, it was one of the nicest fall days we had all season. I have known the Boyle family for many years. The girls are now married; Sarah and her husband Brian have 3 beautiful children, and Shannon married a nice guy names Josh. It was a great session to have the whole family together. Grab your favorite yummy fall drink and enjoy this lovely family!
Greetings November. Bring on the cozy fireplaces, Christmas music, and Starbucks red cups!
On a perfect fall morning last week, I met Amal for photos. We had a ball exploring new parts of Cranbrook. Afterwards, we drove 90 seconds down the road to her beautiful home on a hill for some bonus photos. It was such a pleasant morning chatting about school and nature with her. Amal, I hope you have an enjoyable senior year 🙂
Hello morning sunshine. You are my favorite!
Just like that, we are celebrating Halloween tomorrow! Where has the time gone? Per usual, I’m plugging along with all of the fantastic sessions of 2014.
Meet Alicia. She’s a wonderful, sweet senior. Her interests are being outdoors, sketching until her heart is content, and loving any and all animals, so much so that she wants to be a vet! How cool is that?! This session was the epitome of a fall day! The weather could not be more perfect, and the leaves were just showing off for us! Alicia, I hope your senior year is all you hoped for, and more 🙂
I mean, come on–Those leaves!
Did I mention she likes to climb trees?
Thank goodness for the weekend! Can I get an ‘AMEN?’ It’s been such a wonderfully busy season for me. I am beyond thankful for the fantastic clients I have had this year!
Without further ado, here’s Krissy+Phillip. A few weeks back, I took a quick trip down to Louisville for this engagement shoot. K+P are giddy in love. It was enchanting to see how Phillip dotes on Krissy. It was a joy to photograph these love birds. K+P, I wish you many blessings 🙂
We made sure to include their sons in the shoot 🙂
I love when a couple makes up their own pose!
A few drops of rain did not stop us!
What a good lookin family!
Cheers to marriage 🙂
